Eligibility

Eligibility Requirements

The GSCFF.org Scholarship is only open to legal residents of New Jersey, New York, or Connecticut, age 18 or older at the time of entry. 

Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA (or an 85% competency score) and be currently enrolled in a university, STEM, or related field. 

A student who is currently enrolled in an accredited public college or university junior or senior, located within the United States. (“Entrant”).

Primary preference to employees and their dependents,  a parent worked at Information Builders, Inc anytime from 1995-2020 for at least 2 years.

The goal of the Scholarship Program is to help ease the burden of college costs, not fully cover the costs of attending a university. Scholarship awards are based on a number of factors including family income and the average cost of public, in-state or in-country college/university tuition. Scholarships are not renewable and award amounts can and do fluctuate. Scholarships are never guaranteed.

Scope and Intent of the Policy

Scholarship Awards use the term “Scholarship Awards” to refer to grants that pay for individuals to attend a public educational institution – a school that has a faculty, a student body, a physical location in curriculum in science, technology, engineering, or math.  

 

Students in their second semester may apply for scholarships. We do not intend to grant scholarships for first semester students.  Initial grants are $2500.00 per semester, based on the prior semester studies with grade point average of “B” or better
